JENA PANG

Based in the United Kingdom, Jena Chun-Wah Pang is widely recognised for his distinguished work as a music educator and jury member at international music competitions. His students from cities around the world have consistently achieved top honours and numerous first prizes at prestigious international competitions, reflecting both his outstanding pedagogical approach and the exceptional talent of his piano and violin students.

Renowned for his expertise in competition preparation, he has delivered lectures and masterclasses in piano and violin for numerous organisations, including the Alberta Piano Teachers' Association, the Alberta Registered Music Teachers' Association (Canada), the IMPACT Piano Competition (New York), the Clavis International Music Competition (Bavaria, Germany), the Amigdala International Music Competition (Italy), the Windsor International Piano Competition, the Maidenhead Music Festival (United Kingdom), and the Singapore Music Teachers' Association.

His musical career was supported by an Instrumental Scholarship to St Peter's College, University of Oxford, where he studied violin with Lydia Mordkovitch and piano with Lora Dimitrova. This outstanding musical education laid the foundation for his successful dual career as both pianist and violinist.

From an early age, he appeared on television in both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, performing as both pianist and violinist. He gave performances at the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre in London, and appeared as a concerto soloist with British orchestras in both piano and violin concertos. More recent performances include collaborations with Dennis Lee, Chee Hung Toh, and Graeme Humphrey.

Mr Pang serves as Piano Convenor and a member of the Board of the Southend Festival of Performing Arts, is a Trustee of the Freda Parry Scholarship Fund Competition, serves on the juries of numerous international piano and string competitions, and is an accredited adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance and Speech.
