Anna McCargow first joined the Clavis International Music Festival in 2020 as an outstanding competition participant, winning several First Prizes in different categories as well as numerous Special Awards, including invitations to perform with orchestras. Since then, she has returned to the festival every year, captivating audiences with remarkable solo performances. In 2024, she performed Robert Schumann's Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 44, delivering an outstanding chamber music performance that received an enthusiastic response from the audience at Hohenschwangau.

Anna is currently pursuing her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln under the guidance of Professor Andreas Fröhlich. The British pianist began playing the piano at the age of five and has received a comprehensive musical education. From 2012 to 2019, she regularly participated in the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg, and since 2016 she has attended the annual Talent Music Masterclasses with Professor Andreas Fröhlich in Brescia, Italy.

Driven by a deep passion for classical music, Anna has established herself as both a soloist and chamber musician. Since 2018, she has appeared regularly with orchestras in Italy, performing piano concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Grieg, and Schumann. In 2021 and 2022, she also took part in the renowned Musica Mundi International Chamber Music Festival in Belgium.

In January 2023, Anna was selected for Live Music Now, one of the United Kingdom's most respected programmes supporting outstanding young professional musicians.

Anna McCargow is the laureate of numerous international piano competitions, including:

• 1st Prize – International Piano Competition, Málaga, Spain (2019)

• 3rd Prize – César Franck International Piano Competition, Brussels, Belgium (2020)

• Prizewinner – Brigitte Kempen Competition, Aachen, Germany (2023)

• First Prize and Grand Prix (Professional Category) – Music of the World International Piano Competition, Astana, Kazakhstan (2023)

• Absolute First Prize – 6th László Spezzaferri International Music Prize, Verona, Italy (2024)

• Absolute First Prize – III Ariano International Piano Competition, Ariano Irpino, Italy (2024)

Today, Anna McCargow is recognised as one of the most promising young British pianists of her generation, combining exceptional technical mastery with artistic maturity and a growing international concert career.
